Ps. 126

When the LORD restored the fortunes of Zion,

we were like those who dream.

Then our mouth was filled with laughter,

                        and our tongue with shouts of joy;

then it was said among the nations,

“The LORD has done great things for them.”

The LORD has done great things for us, and we rejoiced.

Restore our fortunes, O LORD,

like the watercourses in the Negeb.

May those who sow in tears

            reap with shouts of joy.

Those who go out weeping,

            bearing the seed for sowing,

shall come home with shouts of joy,

                                    carrying their sheaves.

from Rev. Jamie Gump, Madison Avenue Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), Huntington   Dreams are about possibilities of what can be. Those who yearn and hunger are those who have hope for the future.  When desire and longing are fulfilled, mouths will overflow with laughter and tongues with shouts of joy.  What are your dreams?  What are God’s longings for you?

Truly I say to you… The Lord has done great things for you, is doing great things for you, and will do great things for you.  For you, dreams have and will come true.  Your deepest longings will be fulfilled.  Have you recognized them?  Have you celebrated them? Are you prepared to rejoice?

May we delight in what God has done and what God will do as we bear and share the seeds of God’s love and grace with all.

You have filled our lives with hope, O God.

May we offer them to you in praise.
