Read Titus 3:4-7

But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of any works of righteousness that we had done, but according to his mercy, through the water of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit.

This Spirit he poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that, having been justified by his grace, we might become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

From Pastor Rae Browning, Cumberland, MD First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ)

Eternal life is my inheritance, and can be yours.  I am saved by the grace of God through Jesus when I accepted Him as my Lord and Savior.  My life would be lost in all that I do if I would not have come to the table with Jesus.

Each Sunday when we gather around the table of the Lord, We   remember the sacrifice he made for all. We beg for forgiveness for the wrongs we do, and ask that mercy be granted to us and all who are God’s children. The saving grace given to all of us through God’s love and   kindness in sending His Son is the greatest gift that we can receive.

Thank you, Lord Jesus, for life which is made new by your gracious       invitation.  Amen.
