Read Romans 16:25-27

Now to God who is able to strengthen you

according to my gospel and the proclamation of Jesus Christ,

according to the revelation of the mystery

that was kept secret for long ages but is now disclosed,

and through the prophetic writings is made known to all the Gentiles, according to the command of the eternal God,

to bring about the obedience of faith–

to the only wise God, through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory forever! Amen.

From Rev. Aaron Watkins, Bluefield First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ)

“So that all nations might believe”–what exciting and hopeful words that Paul expresses to us in the final doxology of the Book of Romans.

Would it not be wonderful for all people on this earth to believe in the eternal God? Is it possible? Yes! For this is what God wants. This is what God commands.

The words of the Gospel, whether written by Matthew, Mark, Luke or John give us the truth, the truth that Christ lives, not only on high, but within us and  amongst us and is worthy of praise.

May all Nations believe in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

Saving God, may I bear witness to my faith in you through the Christ who lives in me, that all might believe.
